Grid Box House is a G+2 tropical contemporary residence designed on a 3,240 sq ft site as a minimal yet experiential home that balances openness, privacy, and nature. Conceived around green pockets, courtyards, and semi-open leisure spaces, the design integrates a pool, spa, lounge deck, and bar counter within a lush tropical landscape, creating a resort-like living experience. The architecture follows a modern passive design approach where built forms, shaded outdoor zones, slit openings, skylights, and landscaped voids enhance passive cooling, cross ventilation, natural light, and thermal comfort throughout the day. Simple geometric masses and layered volumes define the house, while comfortable indoor-outdoor transitions create a calm and breathable environment. Sustainable by concept and planning, the residence emphasizes spatial efficiency, natural ventilation, daylight, and a strong connection to greenery rather than dependence on material excess. Minimal in expression yet rich in spatial experience, the project reflects a contemporary lifestyle rooted in climate-responsive and courtyard-inspired living.
