Concept
Minimal Modern Residence with Passive Courtyard Planning
A residence designed to balance traditional spatial ideas with a minimal and modern architectural language on a 6,600 sq ft site in Mancherial. With a built-up area of 4,800 sq ft, the home is organized around courtyards and a central lawn, creating seamless connections between indoor and outdoor spaces. Passive design strategies such as slit windows, jali screens, layered forms, and open courtyards enable passive cooling, natural ventilation, soft daylight, and thermal comfort throughout the house. Minimal in expression yet warm and comfortable in experience, the residence encourages smooth spatial transitions and a strong relationship with nature. Conceptually sustainable and climate-responsive, the project reflects the architect’s vision that good design can be modern, affordable, accessible, and deeply rooted in its local context.
